September 26th

Hello!

The first half of class you will have to edit your photos that you took on Monday. Please take the next few minutes to edit your photos, choose your BEST photos that you would like to send to me. Create a new google doc within our shared folder and insert your images into the document with a short description (1-2 sentences) about why this photo represents said Element. This assignment will be due at the end of today so please work efficiently on this. If you have finished this, please upload your photos onto your flickr account so that we can share our photos with each other on Friday. If you still don't have a flickr account, you are very behind so please look back into the older posts to see what you have missed.

 AFTER THE LESSON

After the lesson, please finish the work from above before moving on with the following:

1. Find an example of a photo with multiple exposures and post it onto your blog.

2. Use google to discover how to use the manual option for our cameras in class, the Canon sx150. Once you have figured this out, demonstrate it with the camera.

3. Please respond to the following questions:
What is the role of aperture in creating the depth of field?

What do you think the purpose would be in manipulating the depth of field?

Do you prefer a shallow or a deep depth of field? Why?

4. Find an example of a photo that uses a shallow depth of field that you think established a certain "mood". What is the mood in the photo, i.e. dramatic, etc.
